______________________________________________________________________ IN MOURNING: On March 12, 1999, one of the state of Indiana's highly touted prep players collapsed on the court and passed away. Lawrence North High School's JOHN STEWART died of an apparent heart attack while playing in the IHSAA 4A Regional Championship Game. The 7-foot center, who was to attend Kentucky next season on scholarship, left the game in the third quarter complaining that he had been hit and, while talking to team trainers, fell to his side. Attempts to revive him failed. John scored 22 points and had 13 rebounds in the game. My prayers are with John's family, teammates, friends and the entire Lawrence North student body. John, you will be missed! ______________________________________________________________________ HOOSIER LINE: Last Game: Indiana suffered their biggest loss in NCAA Tournament history in an 86-61 loss to the Red Storm of St. John's in the Second Round of the NCAA Tournament in Orlando, Florida.
